This last year has been a complete whirlwind... a real-life rollercoaster! But I am so grateful for everything, the ups and the downs, and to have been chosen as Scottish Women in Business' award winner this year has been incredible, and then to have been asked to represent them in the national awards last night was the icing on the cake.
I didn't win the award last night, but to be able to call myself a finalist for a national award while the retreat is still only nine months old... is absolutely incredible to me! The photo (courtesy of Julie Broadfoot) is of me on the stage at the awards, with the other finalists in my category of 'Most Enterprising Business 2015' - a very big congratulations to Margaret on her win, and a heartfelt thanks to everyone from SWIB who came along to the awards to support me...!
I went straight from the awards in Glasgow to the Highlands to run a retreat, and after a really wonderful week I was reminded that there's no award in the world that could possibly beat another group of wonderful 'retreaters', describing the retreat as "life-changing", "inspirational" and as having "brought out the best in me". I'm very lucky to be doing the work that I do.
